After the Failure of “Ganga Action Plan” Centre Government has started showing interest to Clean Holy River Ganga Again. Environment and Forest Minister Jairam Ramesh announced the ” Mission Clean Ganga” Project on Wednesday. Ramesh told that By 2020, No municipal sewage and industrial waste would be Released in The Holy River without Treatment. The total budget of this Project would be around 15,000 crores.

Center Government has Also established National Ganga River Authority (NGRA) authority, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to clean Ganga. It is really sad that even after 20 years of Ganga Action Plan and spending of millions of rupees , Ganga is still polluted and Pollution level is increasing every day

According to Environment Minister Ramesh World Back has committed a amount of 1 billion dollar which would be given in next 4-5 years for cleaning up of this heavily polluted river.

Allahabad High Court upheld the life imprisonment of Constable Tilak Ram awarded to him by sessions court in Meerut on July 30, 2007 for Killing Six Sikhs during 1984 Sikh Genocide.

Tilak Ram was deployed at police station in Baghpat on Nov5,1984 where he killed Six sikhs inside the police station for getting security from the mob who was trying to kill them.

As per the Case , Tilak Ram opened fire from his service rifle on six Sikhs — Sardar Bal Krishna, Harjeet Singh, Karnail Singh, Jogendra Singh, Pala and Gurjeet. Out of these, five Sikhs were killed and also threatened fellow police officers when they tried to stop him to do so.

In his Plea, Tilak Ram said that he was mentally unstable at the time of incident and had suffered a schizophrenic attack Which was dismissed by ustices Rakesh Tiwari and AK Roopanwal.

In its Decision Court said that “act of Tilak Ram was just another instance of Sikh killing, the like of which had happened and were happening at that time all over the country. It was not a schizophrenic act. It was, in fact, an act which had direct bearing with assassination of the late Mrs Indira Gandhi and its aftermath communal outrage ,””

Thousands of Sikhs were killed and looted after the assasination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by his Two Sikh Security Guards. More than 10,000 innocent Sikhs were killed all over the country on the name of revenge of death of Indira Gandhi in this Genocide which was supported by Rajiv Gandhi , the next Prime Minister of India and Son of Indira Gandhi.
