India’s biggest Local Search Justdial is successful in Obtaining an injunction against Infomedia 18 Information portal Askme. Justdial alleged Infomedia for copying up their complete database for their latest Information Portal Askme.in thereby infringing Just Dial’s copyright in its valuable database.
Justice Indermeet Kaur has granted an exparte injunction against Infomedia 18, restraining them from infringing Just Dial’s copyright and from running the website askme.in till the next date of hearing.
Court has also appointed two lawyers as local commissioners to seize hard disks and other storage media from Infomedia offices …

A group of Indian Publishers have moved to Newyork district Court against Google Book Settlement’s (GBS 2.0) and filed allegation of copyright violation against Internet Gaint.
Siddharth Arya, the legal counsel for IRRO(The Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation ) said ” Google has scanned millions of books of Indian authors without taking any kind of permission from the author which is a clearattempt to turn copyright law on its head,”

China has completed surpassed India in the recent comparisons economists and businessmen make between Asia’s two rising giants. A scientific study done by Northwestern University reveals that “Glue Mussels” which is used to stick the surfaces of rocks has inspired researchers to create a sealant that could be used for repairing the ruptures and holes on fetal membrane during pregnancy. The mussel inspired sealant was tested on animals and was found to be both bio-compatible and effective at sealing the tiny holes which could be really dangerous and lead to the leakage of the amniotic fluid resulting in premature labor and termination.

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.) 3G service have now more than 7.5 Lakh subscribers in South India. BSNL has launched its 3G services few months back in its Tamil Nadu Circle and were able to acquire more than 7.5 lakh subscribers.

Google India Internet Bus has reached Jaipur today. The Google Internet Bus Project is to educate the people in villages and far flung areas about the Internet and how they can use it to make their lives easier.

Two Wipro Employees in IT Hub of India – Bangalore committed suicide due to Work pressure at their jobs in Software Giant Company Wipro.
Lakshmi Nair (23), a woman from Kerala was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her house. She was working for Wipro. According to Police, She was suffering from depression from few days. According to research done by British and French scientists, eating Junk Food may cause depression in addition to making you obese.
The study was conducted on 3,486 men and women, of various demographics. The findings revealed that there is a strong relations between the diet and symptoms of depression. All participants were around age of 55. Participants were asked to fill a questionnaire about the amount of junk food they take daily. HRD Ministry on Monday told Supreme Court that 44 Universities can lose its Deemed status because they are not meeting up the required standards. Most of these 44 universities are in Tamil Nadu.
