Moving one step closer to its first global buyout, BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.) Government owned Telecom operator company have entered in to the second round of bidding to acquire a majority stake in Zambia’s leading telecom company Zamtel.
BSNL is one of the four bidders who are selected for the next round of bidding, which is scheduled to start next week. The winning bidder would get 75% stake in the company as confirmed by the Zambia Development Agency.

Bangladesh’s telecom regulator has finally Approved the Bharti Airtel proposal to invest $300 million in Abu Dhabi Group’s Bangladesh telecommunications asset, Warid Telecom International Ltd which is the Fourth largest mobile company in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission(BTRC) Chairman Zia Ahmed said “We have approved the Bharti Airtel plan to buy 70 perecent stake of Warid. We have asked Bharti Airtel to submit the detailed plan of the investment to BTRC in 30 days.”

India’s Biggest travel portal Yatra.com signed a strategic deal with Yahoo India.
According to this Strategic Deal, Yahoo India would promote Yatra.com as recommended travel website on its homepage. In addition to the dedicated link to Yatra.com from Yahoo India Homepage , Yahoo will also advertise Yatra.com on its , Finance and News sections and feature it as the Knowledge Partner on Yahoo! Today , Punjab Government took a major decision of establishing a Infomational Technology Park over an area of 1276 acres at Rajpura.
The Decision was taken at High Level Meeting in Chandigarh by Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal. Badal also gave approval for acquisition of common land at six villages in Sehra, Pabra, Sehri, Takhtu Majra, Akri and Akar for the setting up of Informational Technology Park.

On Friday, Japan Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama’s three-month-old government had approved a record breaking budget of 92.3 trillion yen (1.0 trillion dollars) to boost its regular Economy for next financial year which is going to start in April.
