HRD Ministry on Monday told Supreme Court that 44 Universities can lose its Deemed status because they are not meeting up the required standards. Most of these 44 universities are in Tamil Nadu. Out of which one university Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai was founded by Union Minister S. Jagathrakshakan
