With the new emphasis on green manufacturing, students pursuing an engineering degree are faced with new challenges when it comes to staying ahead of the technology curve. One such challenge has been designing a car that is small, fuel efficient, and—most importantly—affordable.

R.C. Bhargava, chairman of Maruti Suzuki , India’s biggest carmaker, told Reuters, “Everybody is working on hybrid, fuel-efficient and green technology vehicles. There’s an exciting race to find a small, cheap hybrid car for India, which will certainly be a winner.”

Until recently, it appeared as if the “winner” of the make-a-smaller-more-fuel-efficient-car race was the Tata Nano. Launched in 2008, this car boasted room for four (and a guitar), with the allure of a low, low price tag. Since then, engineers have reworked the Nano, driving out any glitches; the result is a Nano that is compact and fuel efficient, still with the cheap price tag.

Now, however, there is a new contender in the race. Well, sort of. Bajaj Motors, best known for their motorcycles and two- and three-wheeled motorized rickshaws, has now officially debuted their first four-wheel vehicle, the RE60. Bajaj is reluctant to call their new vehicle a car—preferring the term “four wheeler”—and plans to market it to rickshaw drivers.

The RE60 is fitted with a one-cylinder, 200 cc engine, and would deliver 35 kpl (82 mpg). Top speed would be about 70 kph (43 mph). Unlike a rickshaw, which has a soft roof, the RE60 has a hard roof; also unlike a rickshaw, the RE60 has seatbelts, doors, and windows that fold out rather than roll down. With a modest price tag of $2,750, the RE60 is affordable, costing just 25% more than a rickshaw.

“At Bajaj Auto, we believe the people of this planet deserve much better, much faster,” Rajiv Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj Motors, said in a statement. “We, therefore, decided to focus our efforts on developing vehicles powered by engines using available natural resources and infrastructure.”

Many rickshaw drivers are unsure of this new addition. Suran Singh, who has been driving a rickshaw for 26 years, said, “Doors and a hard top would help keep out the cold during the winter, but would make me too hot in the scorching New Delhi summers. This is better to drive in hot weather because it’s cloth. In Delhi, it gets hot in the summer, and we’ll be sweating it out in a car.”

Others are also seemingly unimpressed with the RE60. “After seeing the RE60, you realize what a phenomenal achievement the Nano is,” said Mr. Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India. “The RE60 is nowhere near a full-sized car which the Nano is. Clearly it’s just not got the sophistication of the Nano.”

It remains to be seen whether the RE60 will be able to earn a spot with the Nano (or even surpass it). At a news conference in New Delhi just prior to the Delhi AutoExpo, Bajaj told reporters that he would be happy to sell the RE60 to consumers, even though his target market was rickshaw drivers. Just as many were likely wary when the Nano came onto the market, so, too, will the RE60 have to win its way into the hearts and minds of Indians.

People start watching porn in an effort to find release for their sexual energies. With some people, an hour so of watching good-quality porn gives them the release they need, after which they get back to their regular lives. Some people are not so lucky. Porn becomes a way of life for them, and it becomes difficult to break out of the addiction. Here are a few ways you can fight your porn addiction.

1. Delete Your Porn Cache

If you are honest-to-goodness serious about your porn de-addiction, delete all the porn files you have. No matter in which form you’ve got porn, be it videos, porn games, pictures or even text, delete the whole thing without any remorse. This is easier said than done, so it’s best to recruit the support of your partner to do an impartial job of porn destruction.

2. Change Your Social Ids

Change your email IDs, instant messenger IDs and your FaceBook, YouTube and Twitter identities. Porn addicts often stay in touch with other porn watchers and addicts, sharing and exchanging porn over the internet. Ruthlessly delete this alter ego of yours, and create fresh social identifications and profiles on the net. This might mean losing some of your ‘friends’ but it’s best to start afresh.

3. Stop Download Porn Torrents

If you’re using torrent applications to download pirated porn, stop it immediately. If you cannot just stop, delete all your torrent applications as well. Piracy is illegal, anyway. If you’re serious about your porn de-addiction, you know that this is a necessary step, as it’s way too easy to download porn these days.

4. Restrict Temptations

Disable popups and cookies. Change your computer’s password, or, if you need to be away from the computer for a while, ask your partner to change the password for you. Use a different route to work or entertainment, if you’re bothered by the neighborhood adult store.

5. Set Up Internet Filters

Sometimes temptation comes to you in the way of a stray pop-up. Subscribe to an Internet Service Provider who can filter all unnecessary information from the server side. Consider using a first rate server-side filter such as Bsafe for your computer.

6. Communicate To Your Partner

Come out of the dark and get it out in the open. Porn addiction is like any other – addicts tend to feed their addiction in the dark, behind closed doors. Open your door and allow free air and sunshine to enter. Communicate freely to your partner and confess your addiction, if you can. If you’re not able to do this, confess to your priest, religious leader, or perhaps your therapist.

7. Identity Why You’re Attracted To Porn

Identify exactly why you’re irresistibly drawn to porn. You can either do this by yourself or with your therapist’s help. What are the triggers? Are you oversexed, and are unable to find sufficient expression with your partner? Are you bored with your sex life? Are you bored out of your mind? Work it out with your partner or your therapist and find constructive ways to find the right outlet for your triggers.

8. Join A Support Group

As with any other de-addiction program, you need the help of a support group whom you meet daily. When you make your daily report progress, it causes you to be accountable about your addiction and developments. It’s a good idea to a support group such as the 12-step Sexaholics Anonymous group. The point is to report daily to a group or a close friend or advisor, who can check up on you when you don’t make your report.

9. Use Cash As A Motivation Point

If you’re using your friend as your accountability partner, place a large sum of cash in that person’s account. This money should be returned to you if you regularly make progress and report daily. Fix a time span for your de-addiction. If you don’t conform to your progress schedule, you forfeit the money. Losing money is a great motivator, and therapists feel that this method will help addicts see the light.

10. Use Accountability Websites

If you don’t have an accountability partner, use the help of online accountability forums to deal with your addiction. Some of these are Blazing Grace Forum (www.blazinggrace.org/forums/), Affirmware (www.affirmware.com.au/), Freedom From Porn Addiction (www.freedomfrompornaddiction.com/) and Covenant Eyes (www.covenanteyes.com/).

11. Shift Your Computer

Shift your computer to your living room so that others can see what’s on your screen. At night, shut down the computer and sleep in your room, away from the temptation of the computer.

12. Get Religious Support

Whether you’re religious or not, if you believe in God, you can turn to your church or temple for support. Join a volunteer service group, or a religious music group to find a spiritual way out of your addiction.

Alex works for self hypnosis resource center where you can easily access and download lots of information about nlp training , relaxation cds, binaural recordings and lot more.

With the increasing popularity of Social Networking Sites such as Facebook, Twitter and now even the emerging Google+, people from all walks of life and in all corners of the world are now more connected than ever. From childhood classmates to our kids’ teachers, we all suddenly converge in this new world called Social Media. While this may present a lot of benefits, and studies even show that it can contribute to one’s mental health and wellness, it also throws much of our privacy out the window. Because we are so heavily connected in a public domain, the boundaries between “my world” and “your world” can become slim to nonexistent. As such, it becomes quite iffy to really determine that fine line between things said in private and those for public consumption. In the same manner, I may be comfortable sharing something with my network, but this does not necessarily mean I want it shared to someone in my network’s network, or other people he or she may know but I do not. Granted that these privacy settings are often at our control, there are times when it gets breached because of the very nature of sharing in social networks. Add to that the capacity for screenshots that make sharing what is said in private a public matter.

While rules and guidelines in Social Networking Sites may be limited to setting regulating nudity, profanity and racial fairness, one is generally free to do and say what they want in these sites with minimal repercussions. This is quite often where the lines get crossed and boundaries become blurry. In the same manner, because so much information is available at our fingertips, we can become quite careless with the way we manage this. With a simple click, for example, a photo or a comment that was meant for a small group can instantly be made viewable to a larger audience.

It’s one thing, for example, to click on that share button from a website or a public figure. By having these buttons on one’s site, it sort of implies permission to share, mainly because it is public content. However, in social networking sites, such as Facebook, just because there is a “share” button available, does not mean it is automatically for public consumption, especially since the site allows you for more personalized customization of privacy settings. In Google+, if you try to share a post that someone from your circle had posted, you will see a notification that says something like the original post was shared with a limited audience – remember to be thoughtful about who you share it with. Notifications like this allow us to really be careful about what we are posting.

So how should we really go about sharing and connecting in this new world that we have built, one that is devoid of geography and space?

More than anything, I think it is essential to begin with the basic tenets of good morals and right conduct, or etiquette for that matter. Just as was noted in the article about photo sharing etiquette, we must keep in mind that what we do affects the people in our network too, so if you tag that less than attractive photo of someone you were with at an event, know that this can be unpleasant (or at worst, detrimental) for them.

Being mindful about our online behaviors, much as we would offline, is key to maintaining good manners in the online community.

Here are some practical tips and questions to ask before reposting, retweeting or sharing what others post.

1. Think before you Tweet (or retweet for that matter!).Keep in mind that whatever you say has the capacity to reach a large number of people immediately, and so if you rant about your boss, you can expect this to somehow get around. In the same way, if your friend rants about someone else, think twice before hitting that retweet button because it may just stir up a hornet’s nest.

2. Ask before you share. Sometimes our friends post such nice photos or say something quite interesting and inspiring. Before sharing, do the right thing: ask to share first 

3. When done in private, keep it private. There are times when things that are posted to a small group or perhaps in private messaging. Remember this is done because the sender obviously is protecting his or her privacy. Do not think that just because you are privy to that conversation, you have the freedom to share this with others as well. This applies too for photos and videos.

4. When unsure, don’t. Bottom line, if you have qualms about sharing something online, it’s perhaps best to just not say anything 
5. Remember the Golden Rule. As with anything in life, it helps to keep this in mind. Ask yourself, if I were in that other persons shoes, would I want my friends or contacts to do what it is I am about to do to someone else?

At the end of the day one thing that we must keep in mind is that although the online world may be greatly different from the offline world we live in, there are still some basic rules of etiquette that should hold true.

The problem began at around 11:20 p.m. and continued till 12.25am.

Claims were made by the subscribers that they were out of network coverage for in excess of an hour; the concerned authorities stated that the network services were down only for half an hour.

People failed making calls of any sort owing to the network black out. Chandigarh was virtually a dead end for the BSNL subscribers during this barren period. People using service from BSNL suffered the most as they were not having any other modes of making communications.

The state owned telecom service provider BSNL is having in excess of one lakh mobile phone subscribers just in Chandigarh. Nevertheless, services of the users served by these affected BTSs, situated at multiple places in the city of Chandigarh, only got disrupted.
