I recently fulfilled one of my Bucket List wishes by travelling around the world. I started in Andhra Pradesh, then went to Tokyo, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, and back to Andhra Pradesh—all in less than three days. Traveling from one side of the world to the other and back again taught me some valuable lessons about travel, and I want to share those with all of you.

Plan Ahead as Much as Possible

Prior to boarding my first plane, I already had my trip itinerary planned to the letter. I knew when each of my flights would depart and arrive. I knew which cities I would be spending the night in, and I knew in which London and Chicago hotel I would book a room and what the rates were. I knew which cities I would be able to explore, and which ones would only be a brief layover before heading to the next. As an obsessive list-maker, I was in my element. The key to extensive traveling is to be as organized as possible, so that your trip is hassle-free and you have a chance to relax and enjoy yourself, rather than spending the time stressed out and frustrated.

Get Plenty of Sleep

Prior to leaving for your trip, be sure to get a full night’s sleep, and make this a priority throughout your travels. This way, you are refreshed and have your full wits about you, so if (and when) troubles arise, you can handle them in a calm, collected way. You would be surprised at how beneficial sleep can be: improved memory, greater attention, less stress, and the list goes on. Take care of yourself and you will be able to find more enjoyment out of your travels.

Eat Properly, and Know What You’re Eating

When you’re traveling, it’s easy to fall into the habit of snacking or eating unhealthy food. However, proper nutrition will ensure that your energy levels are high and that your brain is functioning at its best. As such, it is important to eat as healthily as you can. On a slightly different note, you will likely encounter many exotic foods that you will want to try; this is one of the best parts to international travel, in my opinion. However, always be sure to know what it is that you’re eating, particularly if you have any food allergies. There’s nothing fun about being admitted to a foreign hospital or having to cut your travels short due to food poisoning!

Leave Your Tourist Hat at the Hotel

When visiting a new city or country, nothing makes you stick out more than “tourist” behavior, such as making inappropriate comments, insisting upon speaking your native language with no regard for the fact that you are in another country, or ordering food that isn’t on the menu. This is where the adage, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do,” comes into play. Even though there will likely be indicators that you are from elsewhere, try to minimize these by adapting as much as you can to the culture in which you find yourself. Try their food, listen to their music, follow their customs—you may well develop an admiration and respect for the way that other countries do things, which will enrich your life.

When traveling, it’s important to stay healthy and safe, and to relax and enjoy yourself as much as possible. Otherwise, you will find little to no enjoyment with your travels…and that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? Just use your common sense and remember your manners, and you will do just fine. Safe travels!

From great reads to yummy snacks, planning for the many hours that you may spend in the air and on the runway could help make your flying experience much more pleasant. The following are a few easy to cook air travel friendly snacks that you can take with you on your flight. Don’t let unexpected layovers leave you hungry!

• Chex Mix. Making your own chex mix is relatively simple. You can include anything and everything in this snack. Include Chex cereal, nuts of your choice, dried fruit, etc. Choose a seasoning that suits your taste. You can add BBQ flavor, hot and spicy, or even a touch of honey to the mix. Combine ingredients together and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. For a variety, make a batch of sweet chex mix and a batch of salty. Pack them in separate bags and enjoy on the plane. This snack will be easy to eat and will hold up for long periods of time.

• Muffins. Muffins are a great way to get in some calories on the plane and fill your hunger. They, too, can be sweet and savory. Your local grocery store will carry easy to mix muffin mix. Follow the directions on the package and pack the muffins in a large zip lock bag. Bring an assortment of different flavors.

• Raw Veggie Mix. This is a healthy option that doesn’t require cooking. Cut carrots and celery into very thin strips. Bring along a few packs of ranch for dipping. Peanut butter will also work well with the celery sticks. Raw veggies are easy to carry on the plane because they aren’t required to stay cold.

• Chocolate dipped pretzels. Pretzels will also be a very satisfying snack to take along on the plane. Jazz up the pretzels a bit by adding chocolate. Visit the baking section of your local grocery store. Almond Bark is great for dipping and available in dark and white chocolate. Heat the chocolate over a double boiler. Cover the pretzels sticks with chocolate and place on a piece of parchment paper to dry. Store these snacks in an air tight container and enjoy on the plane when you need a snack.

• String bean chips. For a crunchy snack, make your very own string bean chips. This snack is as easy as frying string bean in vegetable oil and covering them with the seasoning of your choice. They can be stored in a zip lock bag or air tight container.

• Dried fruit. An assortment of dried fruit will be easy to take on the plane to eat. Dehydrate your favorite fruit. Bananas, mangos, apples, etc. are all great when dried.

• Blue Berry Fruit Rollup. For this delicious airplane snack, all you need is 4 cups of pureed blueberries and ½ cup of raw honey. Mix together food process or blender and spread into a thin layer over a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Place is a 150 degree oven with the door slightly cracked until the fruit appears dry. Cut into thin strips and place in a zip lock bag for travel.

• Rice balls. Rice balls are easy to make and travel well. Cook sushi race as direct on the package. Add seasoning and topping of your choice and roll into a ball. Be sure that the ingredients you choose to add can be left unrefrigerated for long periods of time. This snack actually makes a good lunch while on the plane.

•Boiled eggs. This is an easy snack that travels well. Hard boil a few eggs. Allow them to cool and store them in a container for the plane.

• Meat and cheese rollup. This snack can be taken on a plan must it must be eaten within the first couple of hours. Choose a meat of your choice. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese onto the meet and add cheese. Roll it up and cover with plastic wrap. Place in the freezer overnight. Carry on the plane and enjoy when defrosted. If the meat and cheese becomes warms, you will not be able to eat it.

There are many great snack options for you to bring with you on the plane. You don’t have to eat the dreaded food offered to you by the flight attendant. Be prepared with your own snacks.

There’s a great deal of variance between the food safety and sanitation practices that are followed in different countries and among different regions of the same country. This makes it imperative that you, the traveler, should take all possible precautions to guard against food poisoning.

1.READ RESTAURANT REVIEWS
You can tell a great deal about the quality of the food by reading previous complaints of food poisoning. Even if the restaurant in question has improved its offerings, it’s best to stay away.

2.AVOID TAP WATER
No matter where you travel, avoid tap water. Either carry bottled mineral water with you at all times, or ask your hotel to boil water for ten minutes and fill up a few bottles for you.

3.RESEARCH NATIVE DISEASES AND FOOD-BORNE ILLNESSES
If you are visiting a different country, it’s best to know everything that you can about native diseases and food-borne illnesses. Look up the Center for Disease Control’s website for a list of food-borne diseases in different countries.

4.EXERT CAUTION
Always remember that native people have been exposed to the native microorganisms, parasites and germs in their environment since childhood. So don’t be brave and try out local food that’s not prepared using strict hygiene standards, even if you’re tempted.

5.WATCH THE COOKING PROCESS
If you must eat outside on road stalls, watch the cook in action. Does the cook wear gloves while handling the food? Does the cook wash his or her hands often? What is the condition of the cook’s nails? How clean are the cook’s clothes? Be sure to check the water that’s used to cook the food as well.

6.EVALUATE THE LOCALS THAT EAT AT A ROAD STALL
Before you decide to eat at a road stall, evaluate the stall’s patrons. If well-dressed, educated people are eating there, it’s a good bet that the stall is fairly hygienic.

7.EAT SMALLER PORTIONS
Eating small portions limits your exposure to potential contamination from pathogens in the food. Depending on your resistance to these pathogens, your body may not react negatively to small portions, but will react if you eat large portions of the food.

8.AVOID BEVERAGES CONTAINING ICE
Restaurants use tap water to make ice in their freezers. Freezing does not kill several strains of bacteria, and a freezer that’s not been cleaned for ages will become home to multiple strains of bacteria. Avoid drinking any beverages that come with ice cubes. Read these guidelines put up by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on how to drink safe water: wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/contentWaterTreatment.aspx

9.AVOID RAW VEGGIES AND FRUITS
Raw vegetables and fruits are likely to contain more bacteria if they’re not washed thoroughly. Don’t order a salad at a restaurant unless you’re sure of the restaurant’s reputation. Buy fresh fruit from farmer’s markets to avoid pesticides. Eat only those fruits that have a thick, protective peel on them such as bananas and oranges.

10.DRINK MILK WITH CARE
Milk is not pasteurized as per standards in all countries. No matter what kind of milk you buy, boil it in a clean vessel and let it simmer for a couple of minutes. This will destroy the bacteria. Don’t buy cheese, yoghurt or butter unless they’ve been recently manufactured and stored under the recommended temperatures.

11.SHOP AT LARGE SUPERMARKETS
When you’re traveling abroad, it’s best to shop at large supermarkets as these will ensure their reputation by stocking the right stuff. Check product labels and expiry dates. Always check with the shop assistants if you’re not sure about a label.

12.EXERT CARE WHILE EATING EGGS AND SEAFOOD
It’s best to avoid eating egg dishes, meat dishes or seafood dishes unless the restaurant comes very highly recommended. Remember to speak to the chef and find out if the dish was kept covered after cooking. Don’t eat any seafood unless it’s completely cooked.

13.DON’T ORDER FROM THE MENU
Some restaurants make standard menu dishes in advance and keep them refrigerated. This gives rise to additional contamination even if the food is cooked properly. Avoid ordering standard dishes and ask the chef to cook you basic stuff like boiled eggs or steamed veggies.

14.BE AWARE OF INGREDIENTS
Before ordering your dish, be aware of what goes into it. Raw eggs are used in some sauces and foods. Partially cooked meat and partially cooked shrimp are used in some exotic dishes. Anything that is not fully cooked should create suspicion in you and you should avoid them.

15.WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN
Sometimes the food you eat might be clean but might get contaminated because of your dirty hands. Always carry hand sanitizers and pocket sized anti-bacterial soaps and wipes with you. Make sure you clean the inside of your nails as well before touching food.

In the tourism sector this state has contributed hugely to the country’s finance as Kerala tourism has been particularly on the upward trend for the last few years. Starting from the Backwaters and wetlands; hills and mountains; forts and monuments Kerala has all the mighty beauties of the world. Especially the Kerala cruises are the world famous perhaps the most entertaining activities in this state. It is a heavenly feeling when one visualizes the houseboats on green waters past tall trees, bushes, thickets and shrubs.

I would like to prefer the cruises in the Alleppey, Kuttanad, Kollam and Kochi are the major options for adventurous travelers. The most beautiful tourist attraction in Kerala is the backwater cruises in Kerala are dream experiences for any traveler like me. Kerala is the city full of most elegant forms of art such as the classical dances, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, Mohiniyattam and so many of various kinds. These dances reminded us the cultural representations that exactly represent India as a classic country of art and beauty.

If I were in the time of the British reign in India! These are my feelings when I visited India’s capital Delhi. Here I’m to describe its historical glory through it’s historical places & architectures.

Is it the India Gate that draws so many historians towards Delhi? Not only is this but also there many things about Delhi. Here I’ll start with the India Gate. The India Gate is actually the national monument of India at the midst of New Delhi. It stands upright to remind the memory of 90,000 soldiers of the British Indian army who laid down their lives in World War 1 & the third Anglo-Afghan war. It used to contain a statue of King George the fifth under the empty canopy. It was later relocated in the Coronation Park. It has marked as the monument of the Indian Soldiers who died for the country.

Then here comes the Qutub Minar, the most magnificent architecture of the Mughal’s in Delhi according to some historian. Qutd-ud-Din Aibek, sultan of the Slave Dynasty. It’s a tower that stands up to a height of seventy two meters. It’s a sandstone tower with the coverings from the Qur’anic verses. It was built to signify the Muslim domination in Delhi & to call Azan. Qutb-ud-Din built only the first floor & his successors carried on the rest task. It is the first Muslim great architecture in India. It’s a sandstone tower. It has some other structures around it.

I just mentioned about two architectures of Delhi. Also there are Red Fort, Delhi Jama Masque, Redemption church & many more that you can’t finish visiting in a couple of days.
