Mobile Manufacturer Company Intex has launched the first triple Sim mobile handset in India, Intex IN 5030.

The mobile set contains three slots 2 GSM + 1 CDMA and dual batteries for extended talk time. The handset will be available for purchase at the price of INR 4700 excluding taxes.

The mobile set also supports mobile tracking softwares which can be used to recover the handset in case it is lost. Other features which are included in this handset are 1.3Mp Camera, Webcam Option, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Audio & Video Player for playing the files stored in the memory card which can be expanded upto 4Gb size. Internet users can be happy with this handset because it supports GPRS & WAP.

    Triple Sim – thats extreme! I used to have a double sim which was ideal because I could take both work phone calls and personal calls on the same phone…can’t wait to see what the triple sim can do…

    Such a phone can be useful in cases when one network is having a problem or is being serviced/upgraded, etc. One may ask why not just have three phones. I believe the answer is convenience. There’s no point carrying three sets in one’s pockets or handbag(for ladies). It’s unnecessary weight.
