Sikhchic.com has announced Manmohan Singh , Saran Singh and Harvinder Singh Phoolka as the Chic Sikhs of 2009. According to SikhChic team that they had received around 100 nominations worldwide for this contest from their readers which make the process very difficult. Finally the Sikh Chic Team declared Manmohan Singh , Saran Singh and Harvinder Singh as winners of Chic Sikh 2009.

These winners were declared on their Image worldwide , The contributions they made towards Education and Justice, and how they are as a Sikh.

S.Harvinder Singh Phoolka

S.Harvinder Singh Phoolka, a sikh lawyer who is still fighting for justice from 25 years for the brutal killings and crimes committed against Sikhs in 1984. It is due to endless efforts of great lawyer S.Harvinder Singh Phoolka because of Which Sikh Community has still hopes of getting justice for the killings and loss they suffered in 1984. The life of Young Sikh Lawyer who started his carrier at Delhi in 1984 was completely changed after the unfortunate Sikh Genocide of 1984 after which he is still fighting for justice all alone for Sikh victims of 1984. We are really thankful to S.Harvinder Singh Phoolka for his great contributions towards Sikh Community.

S.Manmohan Singh

The First Sikh Prime minister of India and The Only Prime Minister of India after Nehru who was elected two times consecutively for the Successive Terms, S.Manmohan Singh has contributed a lot to take Sikh and Sikhism at an international level and to introduce it to the whole world.

A great Economist with distinguished academic records in both National and International Institutes, S. Manmohan Singh has completely changed the stereotype image of Sikhs with his humble attitude. The vision of Manmohan Singh took the whole country on path of Development and Prosperity. We really appreciate S.Manmohan Singh for his Honest and Polite nature and pray for the development of country under his vision.

S. Saran Singh who became the editor of “The Sikh Review” which is the oldest Sikh Monthly publication in English language in 1985 after retiring from his IAS Job in 1983, has made “The Sikh Review” an international forum of Sikh scholars that pertain to each aspect of Sikhism by his administrative skills and never ending efforts.Saran Singh would always be known as most fearless and outspoken critic of Indian Government policies related to Sikhs. His column in 1984 Issue of Sikh Review in which he criticized Indira Gandhi for Operation Bluestar Created a Buzz in whole world and was banned in Punjab by then Indian Government. We are Grateful for S.Saran Singh and Sikh Review for their Contributions towards Sikh Community.
