According to Wikipedia -

A tipping point is the point when adding a small amount of weight to a balanced object can cause it to suddenly and completely topple.

Antarctic GlacierBritish Scientists have claimed that a major Antarctic Glacier has passed its tipping point and if collapse can increase the global sea levels by 24 cm.

According to three dimensional model developed by team of Oxford University to explore changes in ice sheet of Pine Ice Glacier has proved the increase in amounts of ice lost over the past decades. PIG has passed its tripping point and is on track to lost its 50% of ice in next 100 years which can increase the sea levels across the world significantly.

By raising sea levels and therefore the grounding line, in their model, the researchers led by Richard Katz were able to find the point of no return beyond which the glacier would be unable to recover. The latest satellite images of PIG(Pine Ice Glacier) shows that ice of PIG is melting 25 percent faster than 30 years before
