According to Reports The Pakistan Evacuee Trust Property Board has sold around 150 acres of that land located around Gurudwara Deh, Defence Colony, Lahore. The land which is of worth millions was sold at throwaway prices to the Defence Housing Authority which was a violation of Law of Pakistan of not selling property related to Religious Places.

This led to Strong Protest among Sikhs in Punjab Area of Pakistan , which accused the board of selling property violating the Law. Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has asked Indian Government to intervene in this Issue.

Foreign minister S. M. Krishna told parliament that he would discuss the matter with Pakistan Authorities and will raise the issue with diplomatic channels in Islamabad. SGPC has also written a letter to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari to intervene in the matter and to stop selling of Gurudwara Lands.
