New iPhone 3GS features video recording, voice control, up to 32 GB of storage, and more. Everything user does on iPhone 3GS is up to 2x faster and more responsive than iPhone 3G. The new 3-megapixel camera takes great still photos, too, thanks to built-in autofocus and a handy new feature that lets you tap the display to focus on anything (or anyone) you want. With a built-in digital compass, iPhone 3GS can point the way. Users can use the new Compass app, or watch as it automatically reorients maps to match the direction user is facing.

There are three models which are available: iPhone 3G – 8 GB in black colour; iPhone 3GS – 16 GB in black and white colour; and iPhone3GS – 32 GB in black and white colour. The price is still not revealed but it may be close to Rs 33,000 for the 16GB version and Rs.42,000 for the 32GB.

Airtel Applications Central

This will the first mobile application store of India and will contain both free and paid applications. The applications will be divided in to twenty two categories including games, social networking, themes, business, travel, books. .

Airtel has selected around 1250 applications for their store till now. Also users can create their own applications and upload to the applications central.

Though the work is still in progress, yet many handset manufacturers like Nokia, RIM, Samsung, LG, HTC, Spice and Acer are offering their support.

BSNL is one of the four bidders who are selected for the next round of bidding, which is scheduled to start next week. The winning bidder would get 75% stake in the company as confirmed by the Zambia Development Agency.

Apart from BSNL, Angola’s Unitel, Libya’s LAP Green Networks and Russia’s Altimo had submitted bids in December to get a 75% stake in the company.

BSNL chairman and MD Kuldeep Goyal said ” We had participate in the bid in December for 75% stake and are now selected for the Second round. We will see.. what would happen next.”

Zamtel is Zambia’s only licenced fixed-line provider of voice and data communications with revenue of $100 million. Details of bid are still confidential.

Due to tough competition in Mobile and Telecommunication sectors, Companies are exploring their options to expand themselves in the overseas market. If BSNL gets the deal , it would become the second India Telecom Company after Bharti Airtel to invest in foreign markets. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission(BTRC) Chairman Zia Ahmed said “We have approved the Bharti Airtel plan to buy 70 perecent stake of Warid. We have asked Bharti Airtel to submit the detailed plan of the investment to BTRC in 30 days.”

Mr.Zia also added “We hope that the total investment of Airtel in Bangladesh would cross $1 Billion in few years.” Whatever amount Bharti Airtel would pay to warid for the deal, 5.5% of it would go to BRTC according to the Bangladesh Law.

After the Approval by BRTC, Bharti Airtel has become the first Indian Telecom operator to enter the Bangladesh mobile Market. Currently , Bharti Airtel is one of the leading telecom operators in Asia with more than 113,439,670 customers as of Sep 30, according to the company website and Providing Services in India and Srilanka.

Because of the Tough Competition from Reliance and Vodafone in Indian Mobile Market, Bharti Airtel is looking for its scope in overseas markets with great potential. After failure of its talks with South African firm MTN over dual listing issues, Bharti was desperately looking for an overseas acquisition where growth potentials are huge which it found on Warid.

According to the Report, Both companies, Bharti Airtel and Warid are working on the final MoU which would be signed next week, on the visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India. This deal would give strong signals of strengthening bilateral investments between both the countries and will be signed on Jan 12, in a joint session of the three chambers -Assocham, Ficci and CII- where Hasina is expected to address
